Registered bidders far outnumber offerings in first three months.
The Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) successfully held 16 bidding sessions in the first quarter of the year, eleven of which saw all shares sold.
A total of 173.3 million shares were sold in the first three months.
Total capital mobilized stood at VND2.01 trillion ($90.12 million), an increase of 27.5 per cent against the same period last year.
There were 727 bidding registrations, with a total of 296.9 million shares, or 1.7 times higher than the total offering.
In March the total share offering was about 37.8 million shares with purchase registrations reaching 69.8 million shares. There were 25.4 million shares matched, valued at VND368.5 billion ($16.52 million), for an average of VND17.4 billion ($780,216) at each bidding session. There were 346 registered bidders in March, both individual and organizations.
