Mixed fortunes on last trading day of the week, December 15.

Indexes on HSX closed lower on December 15 as those on HNX finished the week in positive territory.

On HSX, the VN-Index lost 0.69 points (0.07 per cent) and the VN30-Index 1.51points (0.16 per cent).

On HNX, the HNX-Index gained 0.15 points (0.13 per cent), the HNX30-Index 0.25 points (0.12 per cent), and the UPCoM-Index 0.30 points (0.56 per cent).

Liquidity on HSX reached VND293.1 billion ($12.8 million) and on HNX was VND503 billion ($22.1 million).

On HSX, there were 184 shares increasing and 107 decreasing while 96 rose and 79 fell on HNX.

Afternoon trade was active but the focus was still on the portfolio structure of ETFs. Some stocks sold by ETFs, such as VIC, MSN, ROS, HBC, and ASM, fell sharply, with ROS and ASM hitting their floor.

In banking and finance, STB and EIB increased 1.6 per cent, VCB 1.5 per cent, and MBB 1 per cent. BID lost 0.6 per cent, CTG and VPB 0.5 per cent, and BVH 0.3 per cent.

In food and beverages, KDC increased 0.1 per cent while VNM and VCF lost 2 per cent.

In real estate and construction, CTD rose 1.8 per cent, FLC 1.4 per cent, and DXG 1 per cent, as ROS lost 6.9 per cent and VIC 2.5 per cent.

Among other large caps, VJC increased 4.2 per cent, HPG 2.6 per cent, and VRE 1.5 per cent, while MSN lost 1.9 per cent and BVH 0.3 per cent.

The Top 5 rising shares on HSX were IBC, SGT, VIS, HVG, and CLW, and HTP, L44, TFC, POT, and MIM on HNX.

The Top 5 falling shares on HSX were AMD, CMG, ROS, HRC and DTT, and KHL, THS, SDG, DST, and PVI on HNX.

Foreign investors net sold by VND324.8 billion ($14.29 million) on HSX and by VND8.98 billion ($395,721) on HNX.
