Healthy trade seen on HSX and HNX on March 1.
All indexes increased on the stock market on March 1. On HSX the VN-Index rose 2.19 points (0.39 per cent) and the VN30-Index increased 2.33 points (0.41 per cent). On HNX the HNX-Index finished 0.23 points (0.29 per cent) higher and the HNX30-Index rose 0.65 points (0.47 per cent).
VNM contributed significantly to the rising market, with trading value in the market of some VND87 billion ($3.9 million) and increasing 1.6 per cent. There were some VND79 billion ($3.5 million) in VNM shares traded.
Other large caps pushing the market up today included MBB, which rose by 3.4 per cent, GAS 2.1 per cent, and FPT 0.8 per cent.
The most impressive performer was REE, which hit its ceiling of 6.1 per cent. It peaked at VND26,200 ($1.17) from VND24,300 ($1.09) at the opening of the afternoon session, with some 1.8 million shares sold at the ceiling price. Some 2.49 million shares changed hands today, valued at VND64.9 billion ($2.91 million); the share’s highest trade for seven months.
Banking shares slowed today, with the three largest caps standing still, while CTG was down 1.12 per cent and VCB 0.73 per cent.
Oil and gas shares had a good day’s trade on both markets, with PCG up 9.38 per cent, ASP 2.63 per cent, GAS 2.11 per cent, CNG 1.27 per cent, and PGD 0.56 per cent.
Foreign investors net bought by some VND8.5 billion ($381,180) in each market.
On HSX, MBB led on the buying side with a net VND13 billion ($582,920). On the selling side VIC saw VND22 billion ($986,480) in trade and PVD VND21 billion ($941,640).

Banking shares slow today with three largest caps not increasing, the CTG down 1.12 per cent, VCB 0.73 per cent and BID remain at the opening price.
