Him Lam becomes largest shareholder of LienVietPostBank

Recent share acquisition puts it ahead of other investors.

After purchasing 16.4 million shares, the Him Lam Corporation now holds almost 15 per cent of LienVietPostBank and is its largest shareholder. It previously held 12.45 per cent.

The corporation replaces Vietnam Post as the bank's largest shareholder. Vietnam Post has a total of VND810 billion ($38.57 million) of its capital, accounting for 12.54 per cent, according to a report on the bank's 2H 2014 performance released recently.

Chairman of Him Lam Corporation, Mr. Duong Cong Minh, will become Chairman of LienVietPostBank.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Huong, the fourth largest shareholder in the bank and its Vice Chairman, purchased 300,000 shares, increasing his holding from 3.323 per cent to 3.369 per cent. Last year he purchased a total of 6.3 million shares.
