Positive day's trade seen on June 9, except for UpCom Index.
All main indexes closed higher on June 9, with the VN-Index up 3.39 points (0.54 per cent) and the VN30-Index 0.57 points (0.09 per cent) on HSX while the HNX-Index increased 0.83 points (0.99 per cent) and the HNX30-Index 2.01 points (1.33 per cent) on HNX.
The UpCoM Index, meanwhile, fell 0.03 points (0.05 per cent).
The VN-Index dropped to 626.42 points before rising to 630.28 points then falling to 629.51 points at the end of the morning session. Early in the afternoon session it was down to 626.65 points before heading up to 630.60 points then easing to 629.82 points before closing at 631.26 points.
Liquidity on HSX was VND1.85 trillion ($82.76 million) and on HNX VND803.19 billion ($35.92 million).
Banking, oil and gas shares took the market upwards as three of the largest banking shares rose, including BID, up 2.7 per cent, CTG 1.1 per cent and VCB 0.4 per cent. STB and EIB closed at their opening price while GAS increased 2.5 per cent and PVD 3 per cent.
VNM, VIC and BVH closed at their opening price and MSN was down 0.7 per cent and HPG 0.5 per cent.
On HNX, PVS increased the most, by 4.1 per cent. VCG closed up 1.6 per cent, VCS 1.2 per cent, NTP 0.9 per cent and ACB 0.5 per cent.
Foreign investors net bought, by VND131.51 billion ($5.88 million) on HSX and VND6.44 billion ($286,336) on HNX.
