Gains only slight on June 14.
Main indexes closed slightly higher on June 14, with the VN-Index increasing 1.85 points (0.3 per cent) and the VN30-Index 3.61 points (0.58 per cent) on HSX while the HNX-Index rose 0.05 points (0.87 per cent) and the HNX30-Index 0.09 points (0.06 per cent) on HNX.
The UpCoM Index also increased, by 0.5 points (0.87 per cent).
HSX saw 115 shares increase and 79 decrease while HNX saw 152 increase and 139 decrease.
Market liquidity on HSX was some VND1.6 trillion ($71.72 million) via order matching, 10 per cent less than yesterday, while on HNX it was VND544 billion ($24.38 million), or 11 per cent less.
In the morning session the VN-Index hit 624 points late on before closing at 621.17 points. In afternoon trade it peaked at 625.83 points then eased to 623.72 points before recovering to finish at 625.43 points.
Banking shares had little impact, with most closing at their opening price or falling. The three largest banking caps all fell, with CTG and BID down 1.1 per cent and VCB 0.2 per cent. MBB, STB and EIB closed at their opening price.
VNM and GAS also closed at their opening price.
MWG recorded the highest increase for the day, of 6.4 per cent, while HPG rose 3.8 per cent and VIC 1.9 per cent.
On HNX, declining large caps included NTP, by 1.5 per cent, VCG 0.7 per cent, PVS 0.5 per cent and PLC 0.3 per cent. SHB and DBC closed at their opening price while PHP increased 2.3 per cent, PVI 1.2 per cent, VCS 1 per cent and ACB 0.5 per cent.
Foreign investors net sold on HSX by some VND15 billion ($672,450) and net bought on HNX by some VND6 billion ($268,980).
