Morning session sees indexes increasing slightly.
The VN-Index rose to a high of 576.95 points on the morning of December 2 before closing at 574.65 points, up 4.24 points, or 0.74 per cent, for the session. The HSX saw 140 shares increasing, 53 decreasing, and 60 close at their opening price.
The VN30-Index also finished in positive territory, closing at 582.88 points, or 3.82 points (0.66 per cent) higher. There were 21 shares increasing, four decreasing, and five closing unchanged. Medium caps in the VN30-Index drove the index upwards. HAG rose 5 per cent on trade of 6 million shares; the same as the total yesterday. ITA increased 5 per cent, with some 3 million shares changing hands; almost equal to yesterday’s trade.
All real estate large caps increased, with VIC rising 0.93 per cent, KBC 0.87 per cent, FLC 2.5 per cent, NLG 0.89 per cent, and ASM 0.72 per cent.
VNM increased 0.82 per cent against its opening price but trade volumes were relatively low, with only 206,600 shares changing hands. Foreign investors bought only 500, with no sales being conducted.
Banking shares recovered after many days in negative territory, with most large caps increasing, including VCB, by 0.48 per cent, BID 3.38 per cent, CTG 1.09 per cent, and STB 0.92 per cent. The trade volume was also higher, with most of these shares seeing trade almost equal to all of yesterday.
The HNX-Index closed the morning session at 80.38 points, 0.11 points, or 0.14 per cent, higher.
