Falls all round on July 11.
All main indexes finished in negative territory on July 11, with the VN-Index falling 6.42 points (0.97 per cent) and the VN30-Index 7.54 points (1.17 per cent) on HSX while on HNX the HNX-Index closed 1.55 points (1.77 per cent) down and the HNX30-Index 4.09 points (2.56 per cent).
The UpCoM Index also fell, by 0.59 points (1.01 per cent).
Sixty-two shares increased and 179 shares decreased on HSX while on HNX 122 increased and 190 decreased.
Liquidity on HSX reached VND2.9 trillion ($130.03 million), 4 per cent higher than last Friday, and was VND1 trillion ($44.84 million) on HNX, 30 per cent higher.
The VN-Index began positively, reaching 664.52 points before closing the morning session at 659.90 points. In the afternoon it fell sharply to 649.22 points before recovering to finish the day at 652.26 points.
VNM was down VND3,000, VCB VND2,000 and GAS VND1,000.
In the banking sector on HSX, VCB increased 1.96 per cent, CTG 1.16 per cent, and MBB 0.66 per cent while others closed at their opening price. On HNX, SHB and ACB closed down 1.59 per cent and 1.07 per cent, respectively, while NVB closed its opening price.
Among oil and gas shares on HSX, GAS was down 3.03 per cent and CNG 2.71 per cent, while ASB closed at its opening price. On HNX, PGS was down 1.2 per cent and PVG and PCG closed at their opening price.
Other large caps to fall on HSX included HPG, by 5.2 per cent, BVH 2.5 per cent, FPT 2.3 per cent and VIC 1 per cent.
Large caps on HNX falling significantly included VCG, by 9.7 per cent, VCS 5.9 per cent, NTP 5.1 per cent and VNR 4.7 per cent.
Foreign investors net bought on HSX by VND146 billion ($6.54 million) and on HNX by VND13 billion ($582,920).
