All other indexes up on March 30 as falling large caps leave a mark on HNX.
All indexes increased on March 30 with the exception of the HNX-Index, which fell 0.31 points (0.39 per cent). The VN-Index increased 1.63 points (0.29 per cent) and the VN30-Index 1.95 points (0.34 per cent) on HSX while the HNX30-Index finished 0.04 points (0.03 per cent) higher on HNX.
HSX saw 115 shares increase and 96 decrease.
The VN-Index bottomed out at the beginning of the morning session at 565.71 points before gradually recovering to close the day at 569.91 points, still under the 570-point barrier but with certain large caps exhibiting positive signs.
The largest cap, VNM, increased 1.5 per cent on trading value of VND88 billion ($3.94 million); the second highest liquidity on HSX for the day and accounting for 1.5 per cent of the total.
Other rising large caps included CTG, by 0.6 per cent, VIC 0.4 per cent, and VCB 0.2 per cent.
Falling large caps included GAS, down 1.1 per cent, HPG 1 per cent, and MBB 0.7 per cent.
GAS has now returned to its price on March 1.
On HNX were 116 shares increasing and 82 decreasing. Large caps brought the market down, such as ACB, which fell by 4.3 per cent, VSC 1.5 per cent, and PHP 0.9 per cent.
Foreign investors net bought on HSX to the tune of VND60 billion ($2.69 million) and on HNX by VND13 billion ($582,920).
