One fund to focus on listed companies while the other to focus on government and corporate bonds.
Techcom Capital Ltd (TCL) has received approval from the State Securities Commission of Vietnam to open the Techcom Equity Fund (TCEF) and the Techcom Bond Fund (TCBF).
TCEF and TCBF are open-ended funds with weekly subscriptions and redemptions. Their custodian and administrator is Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam).
TCEF has charter capital of VND60.67 billion ($2.69 million), with a Net Asset Value (NAV) per unit and an offering price of VND10,000 ($0.44).
TCBF is to have charter capital of VND60.65 billion ($2.69 million) with the same NAV and offering price as TCEF.
A representative from TCL said that TCEF’s investment strategy is to focus on listed industry leaders and/or potential leading players with large market capitalization, and long-term growth stocks with high capital appreciation. TCBF, on the other hand, will invest in government bonds or corporate bonds, both listed and OTC. TCBF is more suitable for investors that have a low risk appetite than TCEF.
