AGM hears of appointment and results exceeding plans by 20%.
Techcombank appointed Mr. Yuldashev Murat Mashrapovich as its new CEO at the annual general meeting (AGM) of shareholders on April 18. He previously held the post of Executive Director for two years.
Mr. Murat earned a Masters Degree in physics from Al-Farabi, Almaty Kazakh State University in Kazakhstan and had been practicing scientific research at the Academy of Science in the country for ten years before changing careers to securities investments and banking.
Having completed a special Securities Market and Financial Management Program he held various management positions in investment companies and large banks in Kazakhstan, countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and Turkey, before joining Techcombank in August 2013.
Mr. Do Tuan Anh, former CEO, will remain a member of the Board of Management.
At the AGM Techcombank also announced it had exceeded its business plans for the first quarter by 20 per cent.
Chairman Ho Hung Anh did not reveal any detailed figures but the bank is aiming for credit growth of 35 per cent instead of the 11 per cent proposed to shareholders in previous reports.
