Poor day for main indexes on June 16.
June 16 was a difficult day for all main indexes, with the VN-Index falling 1.19 points (0.3 per cent) and the VN30-Index 1.65 points (0.26 per cent) on HSX while the HNX-Index closed down 0.19 points (0.23 per cent) and the HNX30-Index 0.84 points (0.55 per cent) on HNX.
The UpCoM Index, meanwhile, increased 0.21 points (0.35 per cent).
Liquidity on HSX was VND2 trillion ($89.66 million), an increase of 14 per cent against the previous day and on HNX was VND692 billion ($31.02 million), 28 per cent higher.
HSX saw 112 shares increasing and 106 decreasing while HNX saw 156 increasing and 147 decreasing.
The VN-Index fluctuated around 628 points from opening until the middle of the afternoon session, when it peaked at 629.71 points before closing at 625.11 points.
Most large caps fell, with GAS down 2.4 per cent, CTG 1.1 per cent, BID 0.6 per cent and VCB 0.2 per cent.
VNM and VIC closed at their opening price.
On HNX, ACB closed at its opening price while PVS was down 2.1 per cent, SHB and PVI 1.6 per cent, VCS 0.9 per cent and VCG 0.8 per cent. DBC, NTP and PHP increased, by 4.9 per cent, 2.7 per cent and 0.5 per cent, respectively.
Foreign investors net sold on HSX by some VND24 billion ($1.07 million) and net bought on HNX by some VND8 billion ($358,640).
