Existing and new customers now able to open current accounts and term deposits via internet.
From December 21 Vietnam International Bank (VIB) becomes the first bank in Vietnam to introduce online current account and online term deposits made by both existing and new customers from the comfort of their home or office without the need to visit a branch.
Customers will only need to access “My VIB”, VIB’s popular mobile and internet banking app, or simply visit its brand new internet banking website to register and use the service anytime, anywhere. The new service differentiates VIB from any other bank in Vietnam.
New customers can download the MyVIB app (available on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone), or from the VIB website at www.vib.com.vn and fill in a registration form to create a current account or term deposit. A professional team called MOS - “Man on a Scooter” - has been set up to serve customers on their request to collect necessary documents and signatures. For future branch services customers can select their branch of preference.
Online term deposits apply to both existing and new customers. Existing customers can immediately apply to open a term deposit without providing any further details or personal information. This service will initially be launched in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
