Bank permitted to open ten new branches and transaction points.
Viet Capital Bank was granted permission by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on January 29 to open ten new branches and transaction points.
The bank met all the necessary requirements to open new branches and transaction points included in Document No. 21/2013/TT-NHNN from the SBV dated September 9, 2014, including sufficient capital, good business performance, capital adequacy, proper debt classification and risk provisions, and non-performing loans of less than 3 per cent.
It will open four new branches in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, and Kien Giang, and six transaction points in Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Da Nang.
Viet Capital Bank currently has 38 branches and transaction points in 18 cities and provinces.
In 2015 it had total assets of VND29.5 trillion ($1.32 billion), mobilized capital of VND25.9 trillion ($1.16 billion), outstanding credit of VND16.66 trillion ($747.53 million), and non-performing loans at less than 3 per cent.
