Early tumble arrested but Index closes slightly lower.
The VN-Index in the morning session on November 27 was mostly in negative territory, quickly reaching a low of 586.81 points before gradually increasing to 590.31, a 0.09 point, or 0.02 per cent, fall against the opening.
The VN30-Index, however, increased 0.54 points, or 0.09 per cent, against the opening. The main reason was VNM rising VND4,000 ($0.18), or 3.25 per cent against the opening, to close at VND127,000 ($5.65). Total trade volume in the morning session was triple yesterday’s figure. Foreign investors conducted no trade in the share.
KDC increased 1.16 per cent, with some 500,000 shares changing hands.
VCF rose to its ceiling, by 6.67 per cent, with all trade coming from foreign investors, who bought just 100 shares.
Banking large caps fell during the morning, with BID down 0.46 per cent, VCB 0.66 per cent, CTG 0.51 per cent, STB 1.69 per cent, and EIB 0.89 per cent. MBB was the only bank share to increase, by one tick size, or 0.69 per cent.
FLC saw some 14 million shares changing hands in the morning session, equal to all of yesterday. It closed one tick size higher, or 1.06 per cent.
After a few days of active trading, with millions of shares changing hands and major participation by foreign investors, OGC saw no shares traded this morning.
The trade volume of HHS over the last few days suddenly increased, with active trading from foreign investors, but this morning saw no trade from foreign investors and a trade volume of just 1.3 million, down from 6 million yesterday.
The HNX-Index this morning increased 0.34 points, or 0.41 per cent, to reach 82.24.
