Mixed fortunes in trade on June 22.
Indexes on HSX closed down on June 22 while HNX’s closed higher. On HSX the VN-Index fell 1.59 points (0.25 per cent) and the VN30-Index 2.79 points (0.44 per cent), while on HNX the HNX-Index closed 0.31 points (0.37 per cent) higher and the HNX30-Index 1.27 points (0.84 per cent).
The UpCoM Index fell 0.2 points (0.34 per cent).
The HSX saw 114 shares increase and 91 decrease and HNX saw 148 increase and 128 decrease.
Liquidity on HSX was some VND1.7 trillion ($76.22 million), down 15 per cent against yesterday, and on HNX some VND649 billion ($29.1 million), up 9 per cent.
The VN-Index fluctuated around 629 points before slipping to 626.70 points in the middle of the morning session then recovering to close at 629.31 points. In the afternoon it hovered around 629 points before closing at 626.41 points.
Almost all large caps on HSX closed down, especially in banking. The three largest banking shares, BID, CTG and VCB, were down 0.6 per cent, 0.6 per cent and 0.4 per cent, respectively. EIB and MBB fell 0.9 and 0.7 per cent, respectively. Other falling large caps included VIC, by 2.8 per cent, and BVH 0.8 per cent.
VNM, GAS and MSN closed at their opening price.
HPG closed 1 per cent higher.
On HNX, the two largest banking caps, ACB and SHB, closed at their opening price. NTP, VCS and PHP were down 1.5 per cent, 0.9 per cent and 0.5 per cent, respectively. Rising large caps included VCG, by 9.2 per cent, DBC 2.2 per cent and PVS 1.1 per cent.
Foreign investors net bought on HSX by some VND35 billion ($1.56 million) and net sold on HNX by some VND23 billion ($1.03 million).
