Over 1,000 international chefs from five continents will descend upon Vietnam on March 21 to promote French cuisine as part of the Good France event, the French Embassy in Hanoi announced on March 18.

Twenty-five restaurants in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hoi An, and Hue have confirmed they will participate in the program.

Menus will include aperitifs with finger food, appetizers, main dishes, cheese, desserts, wine, and French champagne.

In Hanoi hotels joining the program are Hôtel de l’Opéra, InterContinental Westlake, JW Marriott, and Pullman. In Hue the Résidence Hué Hotel & Spa will take part, as will the Pullman Beach Resort in Da Nang.

In Hoi An the Victoria and Royal hotel are on board and the in Ho Chi Minh City the Sofitel Plaza Saigon and Le Bordeaux will join the program.

On the same day over 1,500 restaurants around the world will also take part.

Last year Good France attracted over 100,000 diners in more than 1,300 restaurants around the world, of which 85 per cent serve food not from the home country, and was also held in 150 French embassies. Some 1,500 parties were held within the event.
