The 5th Belgian Beer Festival was held in Hanoi on March 30 by the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (Beluxcham), with support from the Belgian Embassy.

The festival aimed at bringing one of the best parts of Belgian culture to Vietnam as well as foreigners living and working in the country, with 85 premium Belgian beers and a range of traditional Belgian dishes on offer.

A large number of Belgians and Belgian beer lovers visited the festival, at the American Club.

The music was a standout this year, featuring DJ Bruno, DJ Thao Be Be, and the White Eagle Band from Belgium.

Belgian beer is not only a tradition and part of the country’s culture: each beer has its own particular glass that boosts the aroma and taste of each drop.

Differing types are popular, including blond, dark, amber, bitter or sweet, providing something for everyone. As Belgian beer is heavier than Vietnamese beer (with alcohol levels up to 12.5%), Belgian food is a key part of having a good time.
