AccorHotels has announced the return of the “World Masters Golf Championship in Vietnam”, jointly hosted by Golfasian and the Australian-based Go Golfing Travel, to Danang in central Vietnam from September 4 to 10.
According to Mr. Patrick Basset, Chief Operating Officer for AccorHotels Upper Southeast and Northeast Asia, they are thrilled to co-host the AccorHotels Vietnam World Masters Golf Championship and further highlight Da Nang as a world-class golf destination, where golfers and spectators can enjoy award-wining golf courses and delight in its wonderful beachfront and riverside hotels.
In order to follow the successful inaugural AccorHotels Vietnam World Masters Golf Championship in September 2015, AccorHotels will hold the second championship in Da Nang as it is an increasingly sought-after golf destination.
This week-long celebration of golf, social events, cultural experiences, and sightseeing will once again attract big numbers from Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, the Philippines, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and the host nation Vietnam.
This event is open to male and female club golfers aged 35 and above. They will play rounds at Danang Golf Club, named by Golf Magazine USA in 2010 as one of the Top 15 golf courses to open worldwide, and Montgomerie Links Vietnam, which was voted Best Golf Course in Vietnam in 2010 and 2011 by Vietnam Golf Magazine.
Participants can seek comfortable accommodation at Pullman Danang Beach Resort, the official tournament hotel, as well as Premier Village Danang Resort by Accor and Novotel Danang Premier Han River.
According to Mr. Peter McCarthy, event host, both the Danang Golf Club and Montgomerie Links Vietnam are world-class courses, matched with equally great caddies, facilities, and services. Pullman Danang Beach Resort is simply luxurious and ideally located, overlooking 20 kilometers of pristine beach.
“Nearby are UNESCO world heritage sites, including the ancient trading port of Hoi An, the citadel in the former imperial city of Hue, and the My Son Sanctuary, making this area culturally and historically significant,” he said. “With endless sunny days, exotic cuisine, great entertainment and nightlife, it’s easy to see why Da Nang is a compelling golf and holiday destination.”
