Viettravel arranges new flights to promote tourism in both cities.
Following the success of two few air routes from Can Tho to Da Lat and from Can Tho to Bangkok, on July 28 Viettravel, one of the leading tourism companies in Vietnam, cooperated with Thai Vietjet Airlines to launch direct flights from Da Nang to Bangkok.
Flights on the new route will use modern 180-seat aircraft, starting on July 28 and then conducted at five-day intervals. Travelers needing to fly between the two cities will save a significant amount of time and money, as the trip takes just one hour and 30 minutes. Tickets will start from VND2.5 million ($116), including taxes and airport charges. Viettravel also provides a five-day tour from Da Nang to Bangkok and Pattaya for VND7.5 million ($348).
Viewed as a key tourism area in Vietnam, Da Nang in particular and the central region in general have recently become a popular destination among domestic and foreign tourists. The city and surrounds boast famous heritage sites, beautiful landscapes, and delicious cuisine. According to Viettravel, because Da Nang is a popular destination for Thai people, the country always stands among the Top 10 countries in terms of visitor arrivals.
The absence of direct flights, however, has been an issue both for Thai people wishing to come to Da Nang and residents of the central city wishing to discover the Thai capital. At the beginning of this year, therefore, Viettravel began steps to introduce the new route.
