Construction to be completed in 2018 of Holiday Inn & Suites Saigon Airport - the first under the famed hotel brand name in Vietnam.
Hotel management company the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the construction of the first hotel with the brand name Holiday Inn & Suites in Vietnam - Holiday Inn & Suites Saigon Airport - in Ho Chi Minh City.
The luxurious hotel has 350 rooms, including 100 suites suitable for both leisure and business travelers.
“With its position as the economic center and the gateway to industrial areas and manufacturing centers, Ho Chi Minh City in recent years has witnessed an increase in foreign investment,” said Ms. Leanne Harwood, Vice President in charge of Southeast Asia and South Korea at IHG. “Visitor numbers have also increased and this presents a great opportunity for us to introduce Holiday Inn to the market.”
IHG is one of the largest hotel operators in the world, with brands such as InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Hotel Indigo. It now has more than 5,000 hotels around the world and is one of the most recognizable hotel brands.
It has developed strongly in Vietnam, with one resort and five five-star hotels in Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Da Nang and Hanoi.
As IHG introduced the first Holiday Inn & Suites branded hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, many people perhaps don’t know that the owner of the project is the Thuy Duong - Duc Binh Trading Joint Stock Company.
The project also was supported by VietJet Air. Staff, pilots, flight attendants and Vietjet partners are excited about the appearance of the Holiday Inn & Suites Saigon Airport and the Republic Plaza Complex, which the hotel is part of.
“We are delighted to partner with IHG,” said Mr. Antoine Sirot, a representative from Thuy Duong-Duc Binh. “We believe that this collaboration will help the Holiday Inn & Suites Saigon Airport in particular and the Republic Plaza Complex in general become the perfect destination for tourists, businesspeople, employees in the airport sector, and guests who demand luxury housing with integrated utilities and professional management of international standard.”
With experience from operating Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, the best airport hotel in Singapore and the winner of numerous global awards, and with 18 hotels in Thailand, IHG made recommendations on the number of hotel rooms to add more value and facilities for guests.
All hotels in the IHG system are similar in professional service style and provide convenience and comfort for guests. The IHG Rewards Club is also the first and the largest Loyalty Program in the world, with more than 90 million members. Members can use their points to redeem discounts and other promotions at IHG’s hotels, flight bookings and a number of other items.
With experience in worldwide hotel management, the project investor believes that IHG participating in the management of Holiday Inn & Suites Saigon Airport will increase the overall value of the project - the Republic Plaza Complex - and see it become a local hot spot.
Next to Holiday Inn & Suites Saigon Airport will be an apartment block with 266 units with high services, both for accommodation and office space for lease. Below the hotel will be a podium comprising commercial developments, boutique shops, banks, office space, and a gym and spa, together with hotel facilities such as meeting rooms, ballrooms, a swimming pool, a garden, and a restaurant and coffee shop.
The project is located on a busy commercial street, with the Tan Son Nhat International Airport less than five minutes away, and is near hospitals, schools, commercial centers, and green parks that create a clean living space and meet the needs of daily living, with easy transport access to many workplaces.
The remarkable Republic Plaza Complex has large windows that increase natural sunlight and breeze, providing a clean habitat for the community with modern amenities.
The Republic Plaza Complex is designed by Surbana and the DP Consulting Company and consulting supervision is from Delta Company and ACM Indochina project management. The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2018.
The opening of IHG’s Holiday Inn & Suites will create excitement for real estate projects around the airport.
