La Residence Hue Hotel & Spa has introduced a new Expat Escape package, available to all foreign nationals living and working in Vietnam from now through to September 30, 2017 for VND2.97 million ($129).

“Expats, once they’ve come here and been to the tombs and the Imperial City and walked around the grounds of Thien Mu Pagoda understand Hue as a sort of crystallizing agent for their entire experience in Vietnam,” said Mr. Phan Trong Minh, the hotel’s manager. “Hue is still so completely and fundamentally Vietnam.”

The Expat Escape rate includes accommodation for two and a 15 per cent discount on food and beverages, spa services, and laundry. All that’s required of the expat is a valid work permit or visa to be presented during the reservation process and upon arrival at the hotel.

La Residence Hue Hotel & Spa was built in 1930 as part of the former colonial governor’s residence overlooking the Perfume River. The architectural gem was restored and re-opened in 2005 as a deluxe hotel and is now a jewel in the crown of Accor Hotels’ stylish MGallery portfolio.

The Art Deco design aesthetic runs throughout the hotel from the central reception rotunda, flanked by two wings, to Le Gouverneur Bar, Le Parfum restaurant, formal gardens, a swimming pool, and 122 guest rooms and suites.

Each guest room and public space is a faithful interpretation of the style during the hey-dey of Art Deco. Paris-based interior designer Brigitte Dumont de Chassart scoured design archives for inspirational touches throughout the hotel, from high ceilings to terrazzo floors, hand rails, balconies, light fittings and furnishings.
