Animated characters to also greet passengers on one of Vietjet Air's flights this summer.
Vietjet has signed a unique collaborative deal with Universal Pictures from the US and Illumination Entertainment from France that will see minions - the famous cartoon characters first seen in the animated film Despicable Me - emblazoned on the livery of one of the carrier’s brand-new Airbus aircraft.
The special tie-in with Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment will also feature a host of activities for passengers and plenty of promotions for fans in the same week that “Minions” the movie is launched in cinemas around Vietnam.
Some lucky travelers may even meet minions on board a Vietjet flight. The airline has revealed that the loveable characters will greet passengers, present gifts, and pose for photos on a special flight. Fans seeing “Minions” in cinemas nationwide should also visit the carrier’s microsite at www.minions.vietjetair.com for the chance to win return tickets from July 10 to July 30.
The minions have proved to be a huge hit among millions of fans all around the world. As Vietjet is famous for its fun, friendliness, and high quality services, the new Minion aircraft is expected to bring plenty of smiles to the faces of passengers boarding flights this summer.
This is not the first time Vietjet has signed an exclusive cooperation deal with famous film studios to bring adorable characters from well-loved animated films to Vietnam.
It previously cooperated with Walt Disney to feature characters from “Planes” on the livery on one of its aircraft while another featured Mickey and Minnie, and it also sponsored the cast from “Mickey’s Magic Show” in a visit to Vietnam.
