Hotel holding a range of activities during Earth Hour and Earth Week.
Pullman Vung Tau will join hundreds of Accor properties along with millions of people around the globe in celebrating Earth Hour on March 19.
To do its part in the initiative Pullman Vung Tau will switch off selected lights for one hour as a demonstration of its commitment to live sustainably and take action in caring for the planet.
Decorative, façade, and back office lighting are to come off for the hour and guests will also be encouraged to switch off their room lights.
Beyond Earth Hour, the hotel has also spiced up initiatives to think and act green, making positive contributions to a sustainable earth through a number of activities, including the signing of Earth Hour pledges and Earth Hour’s contest, organizing a live unplugged music performance in the Lobby, and encouraging staff to support the cause by using sustainable transport during Earth Week, from March 14 to 19.
“Earth Hour gives us the power to inspire everyone in protecting the Earth,” said Mr. Raetus Balzer, General Manager of Pullman Vung Tau. “Everyone can make a difference to help protect our planet and we all have a key role to play. This activity, in line with Accor’s Planet 21 initiatives, is indeed a strong commitment from our hotel to build a pleasant, ecological environment to promote sustainable living and protect the earth’s environment against global warming.”
