Road to cut trip from Da Nang up to hill resort by 10 km.
On April 25 the Da Nang People’s Committee with the Sun Group opened the Ba Na - Suoi Mo Road in Hoa Vang district and the first phase of French Village.
The road runs for a total length of 13 km with four traffic lanes and received total investment of more than VND1 trillion ($49.8 million). It is also equipped with a lighting system of 532 pressure burners.
Trees and flowers will be planted on the sidewalk and on the median strip to give the road a nice appearance and to protect the environment.
The project will contribute to promoting local tourism through shortening the distance from the center of Da Nang city to Ba Na - Suoi Mo Resort from 30 km to 20 km and the travel time from 35 minutes to 20 minutes. It will also boost the development of Hoa Vang, making it become a center for culture and society in the west of Da Nang.
On the same day the Ba Na Hill Mountain Resort officially opened the first phase of its French Village at the top of Ba Na Hills after two years of construction.
Inspired by a trip around France by a French missionary, Pigneau de Behaine, the first foreigner to visit Ba Na, French architects based the construction on the European style of the 19th century on area of 45,300 sq m. The project contains 32 buildings on an area of 21,000 sq m and beautiful landscapes with large squares and replica ancient churches.
French Village has 484 hotel rooms of three- to five-star international standard. This summer 162 rooms will be available to travelers.
“French Village is one of the key projects in the development strategy of building Ba Na Hills into a luxury travel brand in Vietnam,” General Director of Ba Na Hill Mountain Resort, Ms. Do Thi Tuyet Hanh, proudly stated. “With effort and dedication we believe French Village in particular and Ba Na Hills in general will provide visitors with an unforgettable experience and contribute to the development of Ba Na Hills into one of the most attractive destination in the city.”
