"Taste of Guangzhou" to showcase authentic Cantonese cuisine from November 13 to 18.

Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel & Spa will welcome two guest chefs - Chef Allen Huang and Chef Min Zhong - from its sister hotel in Guangzhou, China, The Westin Pazhou, for a special food promotion week called “Taste of Guangzhou”, showcasing authentic Cantonese cuisine in the heart of Nha Trang from November 13 to 18.

Two chefs are currently resident at the Five Zen5es restaurant at The Westin Pazhou, which currently holds a L’Assiette Michelin (Michelin Plate) award in recognition of good cooking and fresh ingredients capably prepared. This is a new edition of the Michelin Guide for restaurants offering “good food, served simply”.

Specializing in dim sum and hand-pulled noodles, Chef Allen Huang draws on 30 years of experience to showcase creations like Steamed Chaozhou Dumplings, Steamed Shrimp Dumplings with Bamboo Shoots, Deep-fried Turnip Puff, and Cashew Nut Puff. Besides his perfected creations, diners will also have the opportunity to watch and learn the art of hand-pulled noodles in a live performance from the noodle master, which involves a specific technique of repeatedly stretching, kneading, banging and twisting dough to produce long thin strands.

Leading another area of traditional Chinese cuisine, Chef Min Zhong, with nearly 20 years of experience, specializes in a wok kitchen. A wok is all drama: the swirl and sizzle of screaming-hot oil, the scorch of the fire beneath, and the crash of fresh vegetables and meat to bring the food alive in a unique style of cooking. His signature dishes are sweet and sour pork, stir-fried fresh shrimps with chili and peanuts, and stir-fried Australian Wagyu beef in a clay pot.

The two chefs will also present some of their signature dishes in a buffet dinner at Feast restaurant on the first floor from November 16 to 18.
