Visitors to Sun World Ba Na Hills in Da Nang from May 22 to 26 will be able to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere accompanying the Ba Na Hills Wine Festival, themed “The Taste of Ba Na Hills” and with a range of diverse and attractive activities.

From 10am to 3pm every day they can enjoy free premium wines from around world and also have the chance to become a wine maker by participating in certain stages such as crushing grapes in wooden barrels or squeezing grapes.

Tons of fresh grapes will be used at the festival for visitors to experience the different stages of traditional wine making. A grape vineyard has been set up for lovers of French wine to feel as though they are in Bordeaux.

The Taste of Ba Na Hills will hold a Western wine festival on the main stage of the Le Jardin D’Amour Flower Garden, one of nine beautiful artistic gardens at Sun World Ba Na Hills. On the main stage, vibrant performances, music bands and dancers in unique dresses made from bunches of fresh red grapes will take visitors to a place reminiscent of the grape harvest in the European countryside.

Interactive games are also available, such as the La Batalla del Vino ritual (a wine fight), where visitors wear white T-shirts and shoot grape water guns at others.

From 10am to 1pm every day, visitors with cable car tickets to Ba Na Hills to attend the event will receive a free coupon for one glass of wine from major brands in Vietnam and around the world. Visitors can also enjoy a host of appetizers at the food court around the main stage.

They can also visit Debay Cellar to learn about the history of the wine industry, the wine production process, and how best to enjoy wine.

First held in 2014, the wine festival has become an annual cultural event, providing a different experience for visitors to Sun World Bana Hills. Following the success of the three previous festivals, this year’s event is much bigger and promises more activities. It is also one of the first events to start the season of festivals and cultural events in Da Nang.

Located at an altitude of 1,487 meters above sea level, Ba Na Hills is a heavenly holiday retreat and entertainment complex overlooking the central city of Da Nang. To get there you can take in breathtaking views aboard the Guinness World Record-setting cable car. The Toc Tien - Indochina Cable Car was voted one of the “World’s Top 10 Most Amazing Cable Cars” by CNN and The Telegraph. Top attractions include the French Village, the Debay Wine Cellar, Fantasy Park, the Wax Museum, Le Jardin D’Amour, and flower gardens.
