Carrier offering special discounts for March flight on Ho Chi Minh City - Taipei route.
Representatives of Vietjet Air have announced that the airline will commence a special flight on March 20, 2015 as part of an initiative called “Spread the Love” for Vietnamese people in Taiwan and Taiwanese in Vietnam.
Customers can travel on one leg between Taipei and Ho Chi Minh City for free and only pay 50 per cent on the return leg. Registrations for the program began on December 12 and will end on January 15. “This new connection will bring the two places closer together than ever before and we would like to celebrate by running what will be a truly symbolic flight of friendship,” said Mr. Desmond Lin, Business Development Director at Vietjet Air. “With a large Taiwanese community in Vietnam and a growing Vietnamese community in Taiwan, we hope we can reconnect families and friends while also encouraging further trade and tourism growth between these two amazing destinations.”
The route will initially have five round trips a week, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, with a flight duration of three hours and 25 minutes per leg. Flights will depart Ho Chi Minh City at 2.30pm (Vietnam time) and arrive in Taipei at 6.55pm (Taiwan time). On the return leg the flight will leave Taipei at 8pm (Taiwan time) and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 10.25pm (Vietnam time).
Vietjet Air will continue its flight network expansion in the near future by adding flights from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to Kaohsiung and Taichung in Taiwan, offering more travel opportunities with the best possible services and unbeatable fares to businesspeople, tourists and expatriates returning for family reunions.
