Carrier wins the Gold Award 2015 from the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA).
On September 8 in India, Vietjet Air received the Gold Award 2015 from the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), highlighting its innovative promotional campaigns that have massively inspired and contributed to tourism development in the Asia-Pacific region. Outperforming 269 entries from 83 travel and tourism organizations worldwide, Vietjet became the first Award winner from Vietnam.
“We are very proud to be the first airline in Vietnam to win this reputable award,” said Mr. Jay L. Lingeswara, Vietjet’s Deputy Director of Commerce. “This reflects the support and love our passengers give to Vietjet for our non-stop improving services. During recent years Vietjet has implemented many meaningful campaigns that offered millions of economical flying opportunities to Vietnamese and foreigners.”
The PATA Gold Award is an annual and reputable tourism prize. Since its foundation in 1951 PATA has contributed significantly to regional tourism. As a non-profit organization it has carried out important research and hosted many events and meetings for its members, which include 87 government agencies, 24 international carriers, airports and sea-freighters, and 59 educational institutions in the Asia-Pacific region.
