Third iteration of the event looks to boost international cooperation in the tourism industry.
The third Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) is set to take place from April 3-6 at the Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Centre In Hanoi.
Major international participants include tour operators, travel agents, airlines, and hotels who wish to grasp the opportunity to exploit Vietnam’s fast emerging market for outbound travel. Themed ‘Vietnam – The Land of Heritages’, VITM Hanoi 2015 will also aim to promote Vietnam’s UNESCO listed heritage sites and other popular destinations around the country.
“VITM Hanoi 2015's chosen theme seeks to confirm that this is a country rich in heritage and that we have invaluable resources for tourism development,” said Mr. Vu The Binh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association. “Our heritage sites are not only an expression of national pride but also a vital part of everyday life for many people and stand as valuable resources for the economic development of many regions of the country,” he added.
VITM Hanoi 2015 will host forums where scholars, travel experts, policy makers and CEOs can discuss and exchange views on trends, directions and solutions regarding the development of the Vietnamese and global tourism industries. The event will also house a series of activities such as promotions, training and employment opportunities, traditional culinary demonstrations and cultural performances.
24 countries and territories are expected to participate in the event including the Republic of Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand and France.
