Move made to improve environment along the seaside.
The beach at Vung Tau has seen positive improvements after barbeque cooking was banned on April 26.
The city is determined to clean up the beach, Deputy Chairwoman of the Vung Tau People’s Committee Truong Thi Huong said.
One hundred household businesses along the beach agreed with the ban and committed to follow the guidelines from the city.
Inspectors have been deployed at the entrance to the beach to prevent visitors from bringing uncooked food and alcohol, while cooked food and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed.
They will also direct visitors to restaurants or the market if they would like to buy food or cook.
The People Committee has also opened a training course for over 100 people from household businesses on the beach to enhance their communications in tourism.
