The A Au Vocational Guidance Corporation (Huong Nghiep A Au - HNAAu) and Chefjob.vn signed MoUs with 14 hospitality businesses on December 18 in Hanoi.

The signing ceremony confirmed commitments made in school-business partnerships that bring many practical benefits and values to HNAAu trainees, which include creating internships and job opportunities, cooperating in training and expert support, and organizing student support activities such as hotel tours, career talks, and job fairs, etc. When trainees undergo professional training programs, the businesses will be more confident in acquiring a new generation of young and qualified workers for Industry 4.0.

The 14 partners are JW Marriot Hanoi, Sheraton Hanoi, Pan Pacific Hanoi, Intercontinental Hanoi, Pullman Hanoi, Daewoo Hanoi, Hilton Hanoi Opera, Hôtel Du Parc, Sen Hotel Group, The Ascott Hanoi, Crowne Plaza West Hanoi, Diamond Westlake Suites, and two other hotels.

Industry 4.0 has been impacting all sectors of the economy, including hospitality, presenting many opportunities as well as challenges to financial and human resources and requiring a new generation of workers to be creative in applying technology at work, which leads to certain changes in recruitment in the hospitality industry.

Held within the framework of the signing ceremony, the “Recruitment Trends in Hospitality in Industry 4.0” seminar focused on the hospitality industry in the Industry 4.0 era, new recruitment criteria in the hospitality industry, school-business partnerships to keep pace with industry growth, and the role of workers during Industry 4.0, among other matters.

Attending the seminar were Ms. Vu Thi Mai, Human Resources Director at the Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Anh, Deputy General Director of Huong Nghiep A Au, and Mr. Le Dinh Gieo, Sales Manager at Chefjob.vn. Guests from the 14 partner businesses also participated in the discussions to offer innovative solutions in the spirit of sharing, acknowledging, and learning experiences in developing human resources in the hospitality industry.

The seminar helped businesses build the best recruitment policy possible to attract more candidates and affirm their brand value in Vietnam’s hospitality industry.
