New brewery to produce beer expected to bring a new flavor and premium quality to Vietnamese consumers.
Anheuser - Busch InBev Vietnam (AB InBev Vietnam) opened a brewery today producing AB Inbev brand beer, at the VSIP II-A Industrial Park in southern Binh Duong province. The brewery has a capacity of 100 million liters per year and is the first AB InBev brewery in Southeast Asia.
According to Mr. Ricardo Vasques, General Director of AB InBev Vietnam, the brewery is on an area of 100,000 sq m and its 100-million liter capacity can be expanded in the future. “The brewery has been completed and has put into trial operations,” he said. “Production will begin soon, this month.”
Mr. Vasques also said that the AB InBev brewery in Vietnam is a symbol of the long-term commitment of Anheuser - Busch InBev in the country. “Vietnam has potential and is the fastest growing beer market in Southeast Asia,” he said. “The market is still one of our top priorities because it is expected to strongly impact on the development of the region’s beer industry in the future.”
The Vietnam Growth Report 2015 indicated that Vietnam’s 90-million strong population includes a high rate of young people, with 85 per cent being aged under 40, so the demand for beer is quite high.
AB InBev is one of the Top 5 consumer product companies in the world. Over the past year the company has sold more than 42.5 billion liters of beer and recorded revenue of up to $43.2 billion. Its portfolio includes famous brands such as Budweiser, Stella Artois, Corona, Beck’s, Leffe, and Hoegaarden.
