The best-selling vehicle in September was Thaco’s K3000 light truck, with 1,351 units. In the passenger car segment Thaco’s Kia Morning still led the way.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan, a car showroom owner in Hanoi, said the Kia Morning has appeared in larger numbers over the last five to seven years and the reason lies in its competitive price and solid usability. “For around VND400 million ($18,000), people can own a new, fuel efficient car with a modern design that is easy to drive on Vietnam’s streets,” he said. “Its design is suitable for most people, regardless of gender, age, or size.” He added that although it’s considered a small vehicle it still have five seats, making it convenient for ferrying families or friends around the city or even on long trips.
