Projects to be located at Bac Ninh VSIP in home care products and beverages.
The Bac Ninh Industrial Zone Management Board licensed projects at the Bac Ninh VSIP belonging to Srithai Vietnam Co. Ltd and Unilever Vietnam International Co. Ltd on December 15, bringing the number of new projects in the province to 130 this year.
According to Mr. Ngo Sy Bich, Head of the Management Board, the Unilever Vietnam project has total investment of $40 million and will specialize in producing family care products such as liquid detergent, home cleaning products, and fabric conditioner, with a capacity of 250,000 tons per year. Meanwhile, Srithai Vietnam will invest $30 million in a project to produce beverages, with 7,500 tons per year, and other industrial plastic products, with 500 tons per year. It is expected to be operational in the fourth quarter of next year and will create over 150 jobs.
Mr. Santi Visawa Metekul, Director General of Srithai Vietnam, said he appreciated the support from relevant agencies and local authorities in project implementation and the province's investment incentives. This is the company's second plant in Vietnam, after its first in southern Binh Duong province. He said it will strictly abide by the province's regulations and policies during the construction process and in production activities once opening.
