To strengthen economic exchange and promote specialty products, traditional craft villages, and tourism potential together with the cultural and artistic beauty of the Mekong Delta’s Ben Tre province to residents of Ho Chi Minh City and elsewhere, the Ben Tre Provincial People’s Committee in cooperation with the Sunny World Investment and Development Corporation and the Vietnam Signature Corporation organized the “Displaying and Introducing Specialty Products of Ben Tre Province in Ho Chi Minh City” program from May 17 to 19 in the city’s District 5.

The program also called for support in project investment, facilitating the growth of businesses in the province, especially young startups doing business based on the value of homeland products.

A coconut village has been recreated in a market space with more than 30 stalls displaying specialty products, while a cultural area is dedicated to traditional craft villages. Visitors have the chance to peruse and purchase a variety of products, from food and decorative products to cosmetics made from coconut and other agricultural products.

“It is a great honor to accompany the People’s Committee in organizing this meaningful event, and we wish to introduce to Ho Chi Minh City’s residents the diversity and richness of products, culture, traditional craft villages, and people of Ben Tre, revealing the unique potential for developing its tourism and trade,” said Mr. Ho Xuan Dung, General Director of Vietnam Signature.

This is not only an opportunity for city residents to discover and experience Ben Tre’s products, culture, and traditions, but also an opportunity for enterprises from the province and Ho Chi Minh City to meet and cooperate at the “Conference on Supply - Demand Connections between Ben Tre and Ho Chi Minh City”.

Such supply and demand connection conferences between Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces in recent years have brought about pragmatic results for enterprises, supporting them in directly contacting distribution and exchange networks, exchanging information, and promoting cooperation in production investment, the supply and consumption of goods, production and business development, as well as market expansion.

“I believe that, with enthusiasm and creativity, Ben Tre’s enterprises can fully participate in supply chains from production to consumption, bringing goods from Ben Tre province into distribution networks in Ho Chi Minh City and other cities and provinces throughout the country,” Mr. Le Van Khe, Director of the Ben Tre Department of Industry and Trade, told the conference.

“With deep knowledge about the locality and an understanding of diverse industries through investment, consulting, promotion, and international connection activities, Sunny World always gives prominence to cultural values and people as well as indigenous resources,” said Mr. Truong Vincent, Chairman and General Director of Sunny World.

“This is the core factor in a sustainable development strategy, creating value for the community. Organizing this program expresses our enthusiasm for working together with Ben Tre in particular and the Mekong Delta in general to promote the image and potential of the region to tourists and investors, in order to open up new opportunities and new markets both inside and outside of the country.”
