Giant comes together with Vietnamese-German University to instigate programs turning out high-caliber graduates.
The leading global supplier of technologies and services, Bosch, has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Vietnamese-German University (VGU) to develop the local talent pool.
The cooperation will focus on five areas: providing internships for students in Bachelor and Master programs, promoting company-related degrees and thesis work, supporting student visits to Bosch, researching cooperation, and sponsoring activities both for VGU and individual students.
“The company’s continuously growing business both in the country and across Asia requires highly-qualified associates,” Mr. Vo Quang Hue, Managing Director of Bosch Vietnam, said. “This project will help both VGU and Bosch train people for local market needs and support graduates to quickly find appropriate jobs.”
Under the MoU, VGU students also have opportunities to combine their theoretical knowledge with practical experience at a high-tech company.
Students can join the company for internships and build up personal contacts within Bosch. They can also explore topics for a final thesis or cooperate with Bosch staff in specific research.
Ten new Bachelor students each year specialized in mechanical engineering will be eligible for a scholarship. Each will be provided with $1,000 a year during a four-year schooling period. Scholarship holders will then have the opportunity of joining Bosch upon graduation.
In Vietnam Bosch specializes in automotive technology, gasoline systems, automotive aftermarket, consumer goods, industrial technology, and energy and building technology.
