FPT has kicked off construction of the 100,000 sq m FPT Tower in Hanoi’s Cau Giay district providing workplaces for about 9,000 people in the IT industry. This is FPT’s 14th office complex and campus and also the largest construction by the group to date.

Over the last ten years, FPT’s staff numbers have grown at nearly 16 per cent annually. It is expected that in the 2018-2020 period it will maintain growth of 18 per cent and employ more than 50,000 people by 2020. It therefore pioneers investment in the construction of complexes around Vietnam, including university campuses and software parks. “We expect FPT Tower will contribute to the development of Vietnam's technology ecosystem, especially in the fourth industrial revolution [Industry 4.0],” said FPT CEO Bui Quang Ngoc.

Located in a prime location in Cau Giay district, close to the first IT center in the capital, FPT Tower’s design simulates the FPT logo. It comprises 21-story and 17-story buildings and an eight-story modern data center. Besides using environmentally-friendly materials, FPT Tower also has a landscaped garden with lawns and green trees, creating a relaxing space for staff to work as well as connecting with Cau Giay Park to contribute much-needed green space to the city.

FPT has now opened eleven office complexes in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City with a total area of 236,844 sq m, representing over 40 per cent of total office space at IT parks in the country. The floor space at its four IT centers totals 579,215 sq m, where nearly 25,000 people work and where training courses are held. This is one of the reasons why FPT remains among the top employers with the best workplace environment.

It owns a total of 17 offices throughout the country, of which eleven are in use. FPT Tower, FPT University Division Complex, FPT Can Tho Software Park, and FPT University in Ho Chi Minh City are now under construction.

FPT is expected to commence construction of three more office complexes, including the FPT Software Village (F-Ville) Phase 3 at the Hoa Lac High Tech Park in Hanoi (expected to start in the first quarter of 2018), the F-Town Building 3 at a High-Tech Park in District 9, Ho Chi Minh City (expected to start construction in the first quarter of 2018), and FPT University in Da Nang.

FPT currently has nearly 32,000 employees working in 21 countries worldwide, an increase of 13 per cent since the end of last year and accounting for nearly 10 per cent of total employment in Vietnam’s software, digital content and IT services industries.

These buildings not only bring a creative working environment for staff but also contribute to the creation of a modern technology eco-system, contributing to the development of IT centers and high-tech parks around Vietnam and helping the country advance its position in the global technology value chain.

FPT is also the only technology company in Vietnam to invest in building large-scale universities and software parks in the four key economic areas of Vietnam: Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Can Tho.

In the first eleven months of 2017, FPT recorded VND39.3 trillion ($1.73 billion) in revenue, up 10 per cent year-on-year. Pre-tax profit was VND3 trillion ($132.1 million), up 14 per cent. Profits in foreign markets accounted for one-third of the group’s total and were up 20 per cent.
