HTC VIVE, one of the leading brands in virtual reality (VR), signed a strategic cooperation agreement last week with the Digiworld Corporation (Stock code: DGW) to introduce three sets of products: VIVE Pro Full Kit, VIVE Focus Plus, and VIVE Consumer Edition, in Ho Chi Minh City.

The partnership expresses HTC’s goal of developing the VR market in Vietnam from the business and distribution capacity of Digiworld. It is also a commitment from Digiworld to realize its long-term growth plan based on trends in digital transformation.

At the signing ceremony, HTC introduced its best VR products and solutions for Vietnamese users and its diverse ecosystem of VR applications in areas such as VR games, education, health, design, furniture, and tourism, among others.

“We are delighted to bring the best VR products to Vietnam,” said Mr. Raymond Pao, Vice President of Product and Strategy and HTC VIVE General Manager of Asia at HTC. “HTC VIVE and VIVE Pro have received great attention from users and media around the world, and we are now extremely excited to introduce these products to consumers and programmers in Vietnam.”

“At this event today, we are also officially introducing a completely new VR product - VIVE Focus Plus, demonstrating our commitment to continuous development and innovation in VR product lines for both businesses and individuals. VIVE Focus Plus is an ‘all-in-one’ wireless communications device that leads the way in helping users immerse themselves deeper and more effectively, and which can more easily transfer experiential content from PCs to standalone devices.”

“Digital transformation is an inevitable trend globally and in Vietnam as well,” said Mr. Doan Hong Viet, Chairman and CEO of Digiworld. “With the advent of 5G, the world will now easily access revolutionary inventions including VR. In Vietnam, with the strong digital transformation seen in recent years, VR has provided strong support to sectors like architecture, healthcare, education, tourism, and entertainment.”

“The tie-up between DGW and HTV VIVE promises to create a VR ecosystem and useful VR solutions in the future, especially in the context of the Vietnamese Government promoting information technology and focusing on products that meet the needs of digital economic development and Industry 4.0. This is a challenge and also a great opportunity for us and the VR community in Vietnam.”
