Monitoring agency finds 50 e-commerce websites in breach of regulations in first half.
In the first half of 2015 the Vietnam E-commerce and Information Technology Agency (VECITA) handled 50 cases of e-commerce websites breaching regulations.
Most cases were websites in the fields of pharmaceuticals, footwear, cosmetics, automobiles and spare parts, website design services, and hosting services.
Three websites were found to be operating without a license, two of which were social networks. Most of the other cases had published restricted advertisements for alcohol, tobacco, and other goods.
VECITA will expand and strengthen its ongoing inspections of illegal e-commerce activities.
