Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has authorized the Ministry of Transport (MoT) to grant a business license to the Globaltrans Air JSC, which will operate as a general aviation service provider.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Globaltrans Air JSC was established in July 2014. Its founders are Vietnamese investors, its charter capital VND100 billion ($4.7 million), and it signed a contract to buy two Beach Craft King Air B200 aircraft.

Since then Globaltrans Air has set up highly-trained aircraft operations and maintenance teams to guarantee security and safety.

Globaltrans Air becomes the fourth company to operate in Vietnam's general aviation industry, joining the Vietnam Helicopter Corporation (VNH), the Vietnam Air Service Company (VASCO), and the Hai Au Aviation JSC.

Under Article No. 198 in the Law on Civil Aviation, general aviation operations use aircraft to conduct flights in the fields of industry, agriculture, forestry, fishery, construction and other economic sectors, and also assist in search, rescue, and emergency cases.
