Targeting of growth in foreign markets seen as strategically integral.
FPT Corporation is today holding a general assembly of shareholders, with its primary concern a strategy to achieve revenue of $1 billion worldwide by 2020. In 2014, this figure was $170 million.
To reach this target they will look overseas, with FPT seeing no other way to achieve growth rates of 34 per cent per year. Therefore, they have developed advanced capabilities to create different competitive advantages and accelerate growth in key markets.
In markets such as Japan, IT human resources are quite scarce, and businesses are looking for additional manpower from external markets. This is the main reason for FPT’s determination to develop 10,000 bridge engineers (BrSE) for the Japanese market, with around 2,000 receiving training in Japan until 2017. FPT have received a strong commitment from top companies in Japan such as Hitachi, Fujitsu, and Toshiba.
In the US, they are looking to partnerships in the development of applications related to the trend of new technology for television services by satellite carriers. FPT sees SMAC services (Social - Mobile - Analytics - Cloud) is a trump card for further development in this market.
