New factory has total investment of over $16 million.
The Hoa Sen Group held an opening ceremony on April 15 for the Hoa Sen Binh Dinh Plastic Pipe Factory at the Nhon Hoa Industrial Park in southern Binh Dinh province, attended by central and local leaders, credit institutions, the media and local residents.
Covering 4.6 ha, the new factory has total investment of VND367 billion ($16.5 million) and construction consists of two phases. The first, including six production lines and one uPVC pipe central mixing system with a capacity of 12,000 tonnes of products per year, was completed and put into operation last January. The second phase, slated for completion by the end of this year, will raise total capacity to 24,000 tonnes annually.
The pipe factory is equipped with advanced production lines and the most modern mixing system in Vietnam. Once full operational the plant will make a significant contribution to the local budget, increasing the province’s industrial value and creating employment for local residents and people in nearby provinces. The Hoa Sen Group will strictly supervise the production process by introducing quality control procedures with modern laboratories together with using high-tech machinery from the US, Germany, Japan and Canada.
“The construction of the pipe factory plays a pivotal role in the group’s development strategy, which focuses on the domestic market,” the Group said in a press release. “In parallel with the development of the northern market, the Hoa Sen Group has been continuing to expand its production and business to the central and central highlands markets, in which Binh Dinh is considered an attractive investment environment with trade and investment facilitation, huge potential in economic development, and major incentives for investment.”
