Mr. Le Phuoc Vu to represent Vietnam at Ernst & Young (EY) Entrepreneur of the Year award in June.
Chairman of the Hoa Sen Group, Mr. Le Phuoc Vu, will represent Vietnam’s entrepreneurs in competing with 64 other businesspeople from 52 countries globally at the EY World Entrepreneur of The Year in Monaco in June.
“I will go Monaco with the pride of being a Vietnamese citizen and representing my country,” Mr. Vu told an EY Vietnam press briefing. “I will gain more knowledge to create sustainable values for the community and contribute to the country’s development and promote a responsible and genuine business community.”
Mr. Vu won the EY Vietnam Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 award, voted upon and reviewed based on six criteria: entrepreneurial spirit, strategic direction, community/global impact, innovation, personal integrity/influence, and financial ability.
The Hoa Sen Group’s revenue reached more than $700 billion last year and grew an average of 93 per cent in the 2001-2014 period.
The EY World Entrepreneur of The Year is a prestigious international prize organized by Ernst & Young to recognize the accomplishments of entrepreneurs around the world.
