Certification relates to operational management and control systems.
Local carrier Vietjet Air has received IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification from the International Air Transportation Association (IATA) for its outstanding operational standards.
IOSA certification is confirmation of the commitment the airline has made to deliver safe operations based on the principles stated in the IOSA Standards Manual. Vietjet’s technical reliability ratio was previously registered at an impressive 99.49 per cent.
“IOSA is an internationally accepted and recognized evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline,” said Mr. Blair Cowles, IATA’s Asia-Pacific Regional Director for Safety and Flight Operations. “It involves a great deal of hard work and requires a significant commitment in people, time and resources. I would like to congratulate Vietjet Air for making that commitment and obtaining IOSA certification.”
“IOSA certification shows that flight safety is Vietjet’s top priority,” Mr. Luu Duc Khanh, Managing Director of Vietjet, added. “This is especially impressive considering that the aviation industry in the world and the region has been growing faster and faster in terms of fleet expansion, flight networks, and passenger and cargo transport capacity over recent years.”
