Tokyo Metro to provide consultation and experts as Hanoi moves ahead with urban railway network.
The Hanoi Railway Transport Company (HRTC) and Japan’s Tokyo Metro have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate in developing the capital’s urban railway network.
Tokyo Metro will provide technical consultation and experts and together with HRTC build, operate, and manage urban railway projects.
Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, said the deal will help Hanoi manage and run its railway network more effectively and help resolve traffic problems. Director of Tokyo Metro, Mr. Yoshimitsu Oku, expressed his delight at the agreement, saying that the company will contribute to the development of the city’s railway system.
HRTC was established in 2011 with consultation services provided by Tokyo Metro, which is one of the leading railway management enterprises in Japan.
