First such complex in central city also hosted human resources conference on opening day yesterday.
The KinderWorld Education Group celebrated the opening of Phase 1 of the Pegasus Education Complex on May 22 in central Da Nang city, where it also hosted the “Development of Sustainable Human Resources for Vietnam’s Tourism and Hotels in the Framework of Southeast Asia” conference.
The educational complex consists of the Pegasus International College and the Singapore International School and is located on an area of 1.8 ha at the Phu My An urban area in Ngu Hanh Son district. The second phase will include a dormitory, a training hotel, housing, and service areas.
According to Mr. Hank Duyverman, Head Teacher at Pegasus International College, after graduating from the course, which is based on the General Program on Tourism in ASEAN certified by Pegasus, students will be eligible to work in countries in the region as soon as an agreement on mutual recognition of tourism studies in the ASEAN region takes effect sometime this year.
The “Development of Sustainable Human Resources for Vietnam’s Tourism and Hotels in the Framework of Southeast Asia” conference focused on discussing and proposing practical ideas with the aim of improving the quality of human resources in the tourism and hotel industry and the educational role in maintaining human resources for the tourism sector.
