Enterprises from Chungnam province seeking partners at trade promotion on October 7 in Hanoi.
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) in Hanoi will organize a trade promotion event between the South Korean province of Chungnam and Vietnamese enterprises on October 7 at the Lotte Hotel.
Ten enterprises from Chungnam are seeking investment opportunities in cosmetics, children toys, healthcare facilities, and industrial technology. Around 100 Vietnamese enterprises are expected to attend.
“The free trade agreement between Vietnam and South Korea, signed in May, has seen a great deal of positive cooperation between the business communities of the two countries,” a representative of KOTRA Hanoi said. This is the fifth trade promotion event KOTRA Hanoi has held and it expects to organize five more this year in Hanoi and South Korea.
KOTRA told VET that in October a cooperative agreement will be signed between KOTRA, VinEco under the VinGroup, and another party. In December it will also organize an import-export promotion event over two days.
In 2014 KOTRA Hanoi organized a trip by a delegation of 61 South Korean enterprises and ten others, with 350 Vietnamese enterprises invited.
In the first eight month South Korea retained its position as the leading investor in Vietnam, accounting for 36.2 per cent of total investment, with newly-registered and additional capital of $5.26 billion.
