Deal allows Vingroup to access Microsoft's suite of management solutions as they become available.
Microsoft Vietnam and Vingroup signed an enterprise agreement (EA) recently over support to the latter in enhancing its business management and competitiveness.
The agreement covers Microsoft Windows Client, Windows Server, SQL Server, Microsoft System Center, and other productivity solutions.
“Adopting an EA like this is consistent with the methods of modern-oriented enterprises,” said Mr. Vu Minh Tri, CEO of Microsoft Vietnam. “It supports enterprises in strengthening their business management and competitiveness.”
The budget of the EA will be allocated over many years. “This helps Vingroup be more flexible in using its investment capital and builds a specific and long-term roadmap for its IT plans,” he added.
Vingroup will be able to quickly and easily access and deploy Microsoft’s latest platforms and services as soon as they are introduced.
For example, it can use Windows 10 as soon as it’s released at the end of July, as well as other new applications for computers, tablets, phones and other mobile devices.
Vingroup is in the process of bolstering its presence in a range of different business sectors, including real estate, tourism, education, healthcare, retail, and agriculture.
“Applying advanced technologies is our top priority to meet our operational needs and offer our customers superior utilities compared with our competitors,” Mr. Luu Danh Duc, CIO of Vingroup, said at the signing ceremony. “The EA is expected to help Vingroup successfully implement its business strategies.”
