MoIC appoints new Chairman and General Director.
The Ministry of Information and Communications has appointed a number of new senior leaders at MobiFone, including in the Chairman and General Director positions.
Mr. Le Nam Tra, previously General Director of MobiFone, has been appointed as Chairman, while Mr. Cao Duy Hai, previously Director of Vinaphone under the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), has been appointed General Director of MobiFone.
The ministry also appointed Ms. Hoang Thi Tuyet, a specialist from the Business Administration Department at the ministry, as a Supervisor at MobiFone.
Mr. Hai has experienced three different positions in less than a year. He had been Deputy Director of MobiFone before being transferred to Vinaphone in the same position. In July 2014 he was appointed as Director of Vinaphone. He was born in 1961, graduated from the Military Technology Academy (MTA), and had many years of professional training in Germany.
Also born in 1961, Mr. Tra has more than 30 years experience in telecommunications, working at MobiFone for 20 years. In December last year he was appointed as its Director.
MobiFone was recently separated from VNPT and operates separately from VinaPhone, with the aim of the two brands developing strongly.
